Masonry & Building Cleaning:
The cleaning of buildings and stone has been and
still remains a political and emotionally sensitive issue. After
in-depth research, William Anelay has carefully selected systems,
which we believe, offer a suitable remedy to the problem of fabric
cleaning without causing damage to the substance being cleaned
and with conservation in mind. We currently offer the following
cleaning solutions:
The ‘JOS’ system incorporates a mixture
of air, fine inert powder and very little water, which is developed
into a swirling vortex. This will remove most paints, dirt, carbon,
scale graffiti, fungi etc. from almost any building material.
The ‘TORC’ system is a similar process
to the JOS system above, however TORC has the facility for a variety
of different sized apertures to allow for more intricate cleaning.
The ‘DOFF’ system is a high-pressure
steam cleaning method used in restoration and general building
material. It can be used for removing oil based paints, bitumen,
biological matter i.e. algae, lichen and moss, chewing gum, general
oil and grease based products.
In conjunction with the above systems and using
selected environmentally friendly products, we can actively remove
graffiti and paints and apply barrier products that make subsequent
removal easier and less expensive.
Full technical details of all systems and products
used are available on request.
