William Anelay has been commissioned to build a five bedroomed, three storey detached
residential property in a picturesque village in the heart of Yorkshire. The owners are keen
to own a property that combines the best of green technologies with the use of traditional
materials to provide a sustainable and energy-efficient family home.
Prior to construction commencing, a 1960s bungalow is being safely demolished and the
debris removed to make way for ground works and new foundations. The property will be of
traditional brick and block work construction with sliding sash timber framed windows,
topped by a clay pantile roof. A detached triple garage is being built of similar materials to
complement the main house.
Internally, the property will incorporate air-source heat technology to produce hot water and
generate under floor heating to all floor levels. The property will be equipped with all
architectural joinery, fixtures and fittings prior to an expected completion date of early
Spring 2012.
