This project involved the restoration of three unique
listed structures within the Arboretum Park namely the Bandstand,
the Aviary And the Chinese Bell Tower.
The Bandstand
Following structural timber and joinery repairs
to cills, windows and the re-hanging of sash windows, safety glass
was installed to allow the bandstand to be used in all weathers.
Hard landscaping, steps, seating and disabled access now makes
the bandstand accessible to all.

The Aviary
Following the installation of stone kerbsand metal
railings the aviary was reformed using powder coated stainless
steel mesh.
The Chinese Bell Tower
The works to the bell tower involved the removal
and resetting of the plinth steps, new carved inscription panel,
structural timber, masonry and plastic repairs. The four cannons
were removed, cleaned and repainted, a new galvanised finial and
bell hanger were errected and a new replica bronze bell was also
cast and hung.
