Works to this historic castle involved structural
support to the main library ceiling and the conference room floor.
The works involved lifting the existing floor coverings to assess
the condition of the floor beams that had been there for many
years and to assess what steel support work would be required.
It was necessary to ascertain the amount of steel
supports required and where they were to be located. Once this
had been done, installation and fixing took place. It was essential
to ensure that there was no damage or disturbance to the library
ceiling underneath. Services were located and the flooring was
made good to the conferencing area.
