Ripon Cathedral:

This project involved replacing the existing lead coverings with new to the Central Tower of the cathedral and the bellcote, situated on top of the Central Tower. To access the Tower it was necessary to build a complicated scaffolding system that took several weeks to erect.

The initial work included stripping off existing lead coverings and carrying out any necessary timber repairs before a new lead covering was fitted. The lead work was carried out using traditional methods in line with the Lead Association’s parameters. See Awards.
