The project comprised of archaeological excavations prior to the commencement of ground stabilisation works both internally and externally. Tower stabilisation works included the insertion of circumferential and transverse cintec anchors at varying levels up the tower whilst upper works to the tower involved the dismantling of the parapet wall and rebuilding to include stainless steel re-bar. Roof works consisted of raising the level of the roof, replacing timbers and re-leading. Additional works incorporated the erection of a new flagpole; relocation of the font and a new concrete floor structure with new floor finishes in the tower.
