St. Laurences Church, York:

Client:   The PCC of St. Laurences Church
    Architect:   Ferrey & Mennim
    Quantity Surveyor:   Turner & Holman
    Contract Period:   22 weeks

William Anelay Ltd was contracted by the Parochial Church Council to carry out restoration works at St. Laurence's Church in York in three distinct phases. Each phase involved high-level works to make the building watertight and prevent any further deterioration.

The third phase of works included some re-lining and re-leading of the Church's gutters, some minor masonry repairs and re-pointing and some glazing refurbishments. Work was completed in August 2007.

Earlier phases of work involved repairs to the timber roof structure, brickwork, plastering and redecoration at eaves level, lead gutter repairs, repair of the high level leaded glass as well as reinstatement of the roof covering. A temporary roof support was used whilst the roof timbers were repaired.
